PARADIGM™

PARADIGM™ is a private, nonsectarian program providing adult day services and counseling.

Our efforts are directed toward providing meaningful and diverse daily programs for those suffering from Alzheimer's disease or other Frontotemporial Dementia, Parkinson's disease, stroke, depression or social isolation.

PARADIGM'S© mission is to provide those with memory loss or physical impairment the afforded dignity, respect and meaningful activities structured within a community of their peers.

PARADIGM clients include those suffering from Alzheimer's disease or other dementia, Parkinson's disease, stroke or depression.

ACTIVITIES

Client activities are designed to provide cognitive stimulation as well as enhance the client's physical condition and group interaction such as:

Individual activities
Current events and group discussion
Speech, art, and music therapy
Reminiscence groups
Intergenerational programs
Exercise, chair, yoga
Pet Therapy
Music, dancing and sing-alongs
Professional Entertainment
Birthday and holiday celebrations
Gardening

INTERGENERATIONAL PROGRAMS

Intergenerational programs at PARADIGM in conjunction with the Avalon preschool on site as well as the K-12 students CCLL serves.

COUNSELING and SUPPORT GROUPS

PARADIGM© offers support groups for spouses and adult children affected by Alzheimer's Disease or other forms of Frontotemporial Dementia. The support groups provide information and assistance to caregivers as well as emotional support. These may include but not limited to stress reduction, lifestyle changes, grief and loss, relationships, depression and crisis management. Sessions are held at the center and pre-registration is required.

STAFF

Specialist in speech therapy, family counseling and gerontology, as well as skilled activity coordinators and aides are available to assist PARADIGM clients. Volunteers and interns also contribute to the program.

LECTURE SERIES

PARADIGM© sponsors community lecture series on legal issues, living considerations, hospice care and other age related topics.
